Sauthara is a small village of 433 hectares in Bidhuna Tehsil in Auraiya district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sauthara depends on Dibiyapur (NP) , the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river,Two canals and Two springs. Sauthara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sauthara's pin code is 206248[4], and village code is 04128500. The area of Sauthara is segregated as 239.92 hectares irrigated area, 70.48 hectares unirrigated area. the 77.77 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 45.45 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Sauthara has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Sauthara is a census village in the district of Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 2683 and has total administration over 534 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Sauthara has 409 children, 211 boys and 198 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 1401 (52.22%) males constitute 728 (27.13%) of the population and females 673 (25.08%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 762 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 689 male, 73 female with 527 (69.16%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 486 males and 41 females. 262 males and 13 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 100 male and 10 female agricultural labor. 235 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Dibiyapur (NP) and Auraiya to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
