Vaina is a small village of 157.8 hectares in Ballia Tehsil in Ballia district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Vaina depends on Ballia (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply which is 2.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Vaina's pin code is 277503[4], and village code is 09216200. The area of Vaina is segregated as 165.4 hectares irrigated area, 14.75 hectares unirrigated area. the 28.47 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 33.89 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Vaina has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Vaina is a census village in the district of Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 3844 and has total administration over 527 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Vaina has 522 children, 279 boys and 243 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 320 (8.32%) males constitute 172 (4.47%) of the population and females 148 (3.85%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 51 (1.33%) males constitute 30 (0.78%) of the population and females 21 (0.55%).

The workforce is 895 male, 77 female with 847 (87.14%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 795 males and 52 females. 226 males and 16 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 225 male and 15 female agricultural labor. 125 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Ballia (MB) and Ballia to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
