Janwan is a small village of 643 hectares in Bara Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Janwan depends on Shankargarh (NP, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Janwan's pin code is 212106[4], and village code is 05504500. The area of Janwan is segregated as 7 hectares irrigated area, 156 hectares unirrigated area. the 401 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 102 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Janwan has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Janwan is a census village in the district of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1552 and has total administration over 282 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 745 (48.0%) males constitute 398 (25.64%) of the population and females 347 (22.36%).

The workforce is 440 male, 340 female with 594 (76.15%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 411 males and 183 females. 142 males and 34 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 89 male and 24 female agricultural labor. 186 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Shankargarh (NP and Allahabad to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
