Kenosis

From Conservapedia

Kenosis was Christ's voluntary acceptance of human status and giving up of his divine privilege. It comes from the Greek word by the same name, meaning an emptying.

Paul explains kenosis in his Letter to the Philippians:[1]

His state was divine, yet He did not cling to his equality with God, but emptied Himself to assume the condition of a slave.
