Marvin Gaye

Marvin Gaye (Marvin Pentz Gay, born April 2, 1939, died April 1984) was a well known performer of the Motown era. He both wrote and performed many of his songs as well as being a producer. He became known for his Themed albums, each focusing on one topics such as marriage with the album Here, My Dear.

His father was a fundamentalist Christian. The lifestyle chosen by his son was a source of argument between them.

In April 1984 Marvin Gaye was shot by his father resulting in his death. [1]
