Springfield

Springfield is a very common place name in the United States. There are populated places called Springfield in 34 states,^[1] including Springfield, Illinois, the state capital. Springfield, Massachusetts is home to Springfield College and the Springfield Armory National Historic Site.

There are also Springfields in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

Famous fictional Springfields are depicted in the television series The Simpsons and Guiding Light.
