Assisted Suicide

Assisted suicide is a politically correct term for a form of murder. It is when someone facilitates the suicide of another person. This usually refers to supplying the means (drugs, weapons, or situation) for the other person to be able to take their own life. Technically it is different from murder or euthanasia as the action of terminating the life is in the hands of the person who dies. However, morally the assistant is an accomplice to the act and may be legally guilty, though the person who is to die would not be guilty of a crime whether or not he or she survived (in the United States).

The most famous proponent of Assisted suicide in the United States was the late Jack Kevorkian whose disturbingly cavalier attitude and unethical behavior justifiably led many people to doubt the appropriateness of assisted suicide in a compassionate culture.
