Chandra is a small village of 254 hectares in Bara Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chandra depends on Shivrajpur NP, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chandra's pin code is 212108[4], and village code is 05502100. The area of Chandra is segregated as 197 hectares irrigated area, 137 hectares unirrigated area. the 16 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 24 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Chandra has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Chandra is a census village in the district of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1058 and has total administration over 151 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

The workforce is 261 male, 120 female with 347 (91.08%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 244 males and 103 females. 129 males and 52 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 50 male and 20 female agricultural labor. 34 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Shivrajpur NP and Allahabad to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
