From Conservapedia

North Yorkshire is a ceremonial county in northern England. It is England's largest such county by land area, totaling about 3,341 square miles in extent; the population was 1,125,547 at the 2011 census.

Noted for its scenery, which includes forests, moorlands, and the North Sea coast, about 40 percent of the county is included within various national parks, most notably the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors.
