Joni Mitchell (born Roberta Joan Anderson, 7 November 1943, Fort McLeod, Alberta, Canada) is a folk, pop and jazz songwriter and singer known for "Big Yellow Taxi", "Both Sides, Now", "Chelsea Morning", "The Circle Game", "Woodstock" and other songs.
She has collaborated with a number of important jazz musicians, including Charles Mingus, Wayne Shorter, Pat Metheny, and Michael Brecker.
