A limit is the outermost or furthest boundary or point in extent of distance, area, space, experience, ability or jurisdiction.
In mathematics a limit is a number that a given function may approach but not exceed or it may be one of the values attached to an integral symbol to restrict the region over which the integration takes place.
A limit may also be an arbitrary value imposed by law or the rules of a game to restrict activity or confine that activity to a designated area. A limit may refer to a maximum or minimum financial expenditure, price or cost.
