Snitch

A snitch can be described as an informant to authorities on illegal or unethical activity by acquaintances or co-workers. In gangster culture a snitch can also be known as a rat. In the civil service system, a whistleblower is often referred to as a snitch by co-workers.

A common warning from conspirators to acquaintances and co-workers is snitches get stitches and end up in ditches.
