Monsoon

From Conservapedia

Monsoons are large-scale weather patterns usually associated with seasonal reversal of wind direction. In fact, the word monsoon derives from the Arabic word mausim that translates as season. Monsoons are typically associated with regions dominated by warm-season precipitation. The largest, and most studied, monsoon region is in southern Asia, associated with the Indian and Asian monsoons. However, there are also monsoon circulations associated with Africa and North America. Perhaps Bangladesh is more affected by monsoons than any other nation, as the nation faces extreme flooding on a yearly basis due to a monsoon.
