Shyness

Shyness in its most general sense refers to an apprehension of social contact.

There are many forms of shyness - some forms of social anxiety involve exhibiting physical symptoms such as blushing or sweating, whilst at the other end of the spectrum, it might merely indicate a preference for solitude.
