Kosminsky, Marks:

Founder of the town of Nhill in the colony of Victoria, Australia; died there May 6, 1895. He founded most of the local institutions, the hospital, Mechanics' Institute, the Agricultural and Pastoral Society, the Masonic lodge, and the fire-brigade. He took an active part in the movement to provide the town with water, and it was through his efforts that local land-boards, courts, and public buildings were established.
