The Kinks were an English pop group most prominent in the 1960s.
Their chief songwriter, Ray Davies, wrote numerous popular songs of great variety and sophistication, including "Waterloo Sunset", "Days", "Lazing On A Sunny Afternoon" and "You Really Got Me". His brother Dave Davies also contributed some memorable songs, including "Death Of A Clown".
