Mathaura is a small village of 435 hectares in Mahasi Tehsil in Bahraich district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mathaura depends on Bahraich (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tank, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Mathaura's pin code is 271825[4], and village code is 06476900. The area of Mathaura is segregated as 194.24 hectares irrigated area, 20.12 hectares unirrigated area. and remaining 30.63 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Mathaura has One post office (Gadamar Kuurd B.O). Mathaura has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Mathaura is a census village in the district of Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 2102 and has total administration over 427 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 372 (17.70%) males constitute 196 (9.32%) of the population and females 176 (8.37%).

The workforce is 544 male, 32 female with 420 (72.92%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 396 males and 24 females. 278 males and 16 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 37 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 156 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bahraich (MB) and Bahraich to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
