Deborah Ann “Debbie” Dingell (born November 23, 1953 (age 69)) is the Democratic party representative from Michigan's 12th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. She is the wife of the former longtime representative of the district, John Dingell, and ran for the seat when the latter announced that he would not seek re-election in 2014.

Prior to joining the House, Dingell served as the chair of the Wayne State University (WSU) Board of Governors and worked for General Motors Corporation. Dingell co-sponsored the communist Medicare for All bill.[1]

Dingell noted in late October 2020 that constituents she thought backed Biden were voting for Trump in the 2020 U.S. presidential election, and stated the concurrent Senate election in the state was also competitive.[2]
