Sathar is a small village of 134 hectares in Handia Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sathar depends on Handia (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Sathar's pin code is 221505[4], and village code is 05559900. The area of Sathar is segregated as 88 hectares irrigated area, 3 hectares unirrigated area.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Handia (NP) and Allahabad to sell beedi(indian ci and make their living.
