Eric Holcomb is the 51st and current Governor of Indiana, serving since January 9, 2017, and replacing Mike Pence who became the U.S. Vice President. Prior to serving as Indiana Governor, Holcomb served as the Indiana GOP chairman from 2010 to 2013 and as the lieutenant governor of Indiana from 2016 to 2017.
In March 2018, Holcomb signed a bill into law giving state licenses to illegal immigrants in the DACA program created by Barack Obama.[1]
In April 2019, Holcomb signed a bill into law strengthened Indiana's "stand your ground" law,[2] as well as several pro-life bills.[3]
