The Naxalites are an atheistic communist organization that has been designated as a terrorist group by the government of India. Naxalite groups follow the ideologies of Marxism-Leninism and Maoism, which promote militant state atheism. They have inflicted violence against Christians, including beheading clergy in front of their wives and children,[1] as well as shooting innocent Christians.[2]
