Modriya is a small village of 504 hectares in Degana Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Modriya depends on Goredi Chancha, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Modriya is also surrounded by Two lakes. They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Goredi Chancha and Nagaur to sell iron gates and make their living.
