Twin Cities

From Conservapedia

The term Twin Cities refers to two cities in close proximity, but most often refers to the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul in east-central Minnesota. The cities are built on the Mississippi River. Minneapolis is the largest city in the state, and St. Paul is the state capital. St. Paul is set to host the Republican National Convention in 2008. According to the 2000 Census, the Twin Cities are the 16th largest metropolitan area in the United States[1]

St. Paul was named in 1849 by an Act of the Minnesota Territory Assembly[2] after Paul of Tarsus, the early Christian evangelist and the author of many letters in the New Testament.
