Kvamme Jensen graduated with a finance degree from the University of Denver in 1992. He went to Harvard University in 1994 but dropped out the following year to focus on his career in finance.
After Harvard Kvamme Jensen founded the US FINRA-regulated brokerage AK Jensen Inc. In 1998, he founded the AKJ Hedge Fund alongside Leif H. Olsen, former Chief Economist at Citibank[2], rapidly expanding the firm and completing a sale in 2000 to an affiliate of Bear Stearns. In 2002 he established the UK FCA brokerage AK Jensen Limited, followed by group company AK Jensen Group Limited in 2003, crypto specialist AKJ Crypto plc in 2017, the AKJ Digital Assets FoF in 2019, and digital assets and technology incubator AKJt Holdings Limited in 2020.

AKJ won the HFM European Services Awards for Best Hedge Fund Platform in 2023, having won the award in seven of the last eight years.[3] The AKJ Digital Assets FoF is consistently top-ranked compared to its peer group according to Eurekahedge.[4] The group now serves hedge fund and institutional clients in 35 countries around the world. In the past decade Kvamme Jensen has steered AKJ towards the digital assets space, AI and order-routing technology.
Kvamme Jensen regularly provides thought leadership to the global financial media, including Reuters and the Financial Times. He has shared his views with Reuters on Tether and ‘hyper-bitcoinisation'[5] and the Grayscale ruling.[6] The Financial Times interviewed him about the FTX collapse.[7] His views on the future of cryptocurrencies[8] [9] and crypto’s final frontier[10] were published in PWM, a Financial Times publication. Additionally, he commented on the importance of regulatory harmonisation in the crypto industry in Banking Risk & Regulation[11], a Financial Times publication launched in June 2023.
Since April 2022 Kvamme Jensen and AKJ have worked with the Norwegian triathlon team[12] as their main sponsor for the Paris Olympic Games in 2024.[13]
