Views[edit]

In a 1980s interview, Lynott claimed that he thought a referendum to ban abortion was "silly". In the same interview, the claimed that he thought politics should take a "liberal" stance on "all aspects of life". Lynott further stated that he disliked conservative US president Ronald Reagan, elaborating that he thought there was "something very right-wing about him", evidently meaning that as an insult.[1]
