Lamont Daigle (born 1971 or 1972) is a Canadian QAnon conspiracy theorist and small business owner known for protesting COVID-19 public health measures.

Life and activism[edit]

Lamont Daigle was born in 1971 or 1972[1] in Moncton, New Brunswick.[2][3]

Daigle is a QAnon[4] conspiracy theorist who runs The Line Canada, an organization defined by its opposition to COVID-19 public health rules.[5] The Canadian Anti-Hate Network has reported that Daigle shared anti-semitic tropes via his Facebook page.[6][2]

Daigle organized a protest against COVID-19 public health measures on November 14, 2020. The 250-person march started at the Memorial Arena in St. Thomas, Ontario and ended at the Veterans Memorial Garden.[7] He also organized a protest in Toronto on January 16, 2021.[8] He was charged with common nuisance following the Toronto protest, after being arrested at Yonge-Dundas Square.[9]

In 2023, Daigle was found guilty of breaking the Reopening Ontario Act due to the 250-person march exceeding the 25-person gathering limit. He was fined $20,000 plus a $5,000 surcharge.[7]
