Lanarkshire

From Conservapedia

Lanarkshire is a county of central Scotland. In the 19th and 20th century it was a major industrial center with extensive coal mines, and iron and steel works in the Motherwell and Wishaw areas. Other major industries included shipbuilding, railway carriage manufacture, crane and construction equipment manufacture, and the manufacture of prefabricated bridge parts.

New Lanark, in the south of the county, is a utopian factory community founded by Robert Owen.

92% of the fortified wine produced by the Buckfast monastic community in Devon, England, is sold in Lanarkshire.
