Michael McCaffrey (Democratic Party) is a member of the Rhode Island State Senate, representing District 29. He assumed office in 1995. His current term ends on January 3, 2023.
McCaffrey (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Rhode Island State Senate to represent District 29. He won in the general election on November 3, 2020.
McCaffrey currently serves as state Senate majority leader.
Biography[edit]
McCaffrey earned his B.S. in accounting from Providence College in 1985 and his J.D. from Suffolk University in 1989. His professional experience includes working as an attorney for McCaffrey and McCaffrey.[1]

Elections for the Rhode Island State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on September 9, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 25, 2014. Incumbent Michael McCaffrey was unopposed in the Democratic primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[6][7][8]
