In September 2022, American Real Estate Partners (AREP) introduced PowerHouse Data Centers, a division specializing in constructing six data centers spanning 2.1 million square feet in Northern Virginia.[10] PowerHouse Data Centers, a next-generation data center company, provides technical real estate solutions tailored for hyperscalers in the region.[11] The company has commenced construction on multiple projects, including the Arcola Data Center, PowerHouse Pacific, and PowerHouse ABX-1 at Beaumeade. Additionally, PowerHouse Data Centers has formed a joint venture with Harrison Street to develop several data centers in key markets.[12] Furthermore, they have acquired land sites for new data centers in Reno, Nevada, and Pensylvania, Virginia.[13]
