Ronde Van Vlaanderen

From Conservapedia

The Ronde van Vlaanderen (English: Tour of Flanders) is an annual single day bicycle race in Flanders, Belgium. It's the most important race on the Belgian cycling calendar and one of the single-day monuments in cycling. The nickname of the race is Vlaanderens Mooiste (Dutch for "Flanders' Finest"). The Tour of Flanders is held annually in the beginning of the month April.

It's one of the five monuments of cycling, together with Milan–San Remo, Paris–Roubaix, Liège–Bastogne–Liège and the Giro di Lombardia. It is one of the two major Cobblestone classics, anticipating Paris–Roubaix, which is on the cycling calendar one week after the Tour of Flanders.

The first Tour of Flanders was held in 1913 and originally run from Ghent to Ghent, it currently starts in Antwerp and finishes in Oudenaarde.[1]
