Dhanota is a small village of 332 hectares in Malpura Tehsil in Tonk district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dhanota depends on Malpura, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 25.35% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dhanota is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dhanota's pin code is 304502[4], and village code is 02598500. The area of Dhanota is segregated as 75.6 hectares irrigated area, 174.37 hectares unirrigated, the 50.12 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 32.13 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The workforce is 117 male, 99 female with 209 (96.76%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 113 males and 96 females. 73 males and 92 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 2 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 7 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Malpura and Tonk to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
