Sheol

Sheol (pronounced SHEE - ole) is the term in the Old Testament for Hell. Sheol is the from the Hebrew term transliterated as "seol". Proverbs and Isaiah compare Sheol to a destructive beast that consumes the wicked without being satisfied. See Proverbs 1:12 and 27:20; Isaiah 5:14.
