Northern Kentucky University (NKU) is an institution of higher education located in Highland Heights, Kentucky. Originally founded as an extension of the University of Kentucky, NKU became its own state university in 1968, and is located near Cincinnati, Ohio, and near the Creation Museum. NKU primarily serves as an undergraduate liberal arts institution, and is the youngest of all of the state universities in Kentucky.
