Representative Democracy

From Conservapedia

Representative democracy is the type of democracy used in nations too large to have a direct democracy like Switzerland's. Representative democracies can be found in many countries, such as Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In a representative democracy, "representatives" (such as Members of Parliament or Senators) are elected by voters to "represent" them in the political process.
