Decoy

A decoy is any thing, or any person, which someone employs to deceive another person, or an animal, about the environment or the whereabouts of a person in the environment.

Decoys are standard practice in hunting and fishing.

In the motion picture industry, actors and their directors use decoys often. They particularly use them when the character must perform a dangerous action, or stunt. Beyond that, several actors used decoys not only during filming but also to cover for them at public events.
