When it comes to professional boxing, cruiserweight (also known as junior heavyweight) is a weight class that falls between the light heavyweight and heavyweight categories. Prior to the establishment of the present cruiserweight division, the terms "light heavyweight" and "cruiserweight" were often used interchangeably in the United Kingdom.
