RickPAC is a leadership PAC formed to help "elect Republicans to office who share [Rick Perry's] philosophy of low taxes, limited government, border security, and job creation."[2] It was formed in 2014 by Rick Perry.[3]

According to Open Secrets, in the 2016 election cycle, RickPAC had spent $1,235,240 as of June 2016. According to the same source, $763,804 of the expenditures went toward campaign strategy and communications consulting, and an additional $127,036 was spent on fundraising.[4]

Mugshot t-shirts[edit]
Following Perry's indictment, the PAC started to give away t-shirts with Perry's mugshot on the front, along with a mugshot of the woman at the center of the charges against him, Rosemary Lehmberg, from a drunk driving arrest. The shirt was given to those giving a $25 donation.[8]
Finances[edit]
According to Open Secrets, RickPAC had received $1,122,007 in donations during the 2016 election cycle as of June 2016. The same source records the total 2014 election cycle fundraising for RickPAC at $308,229.[9][10]
