Biography[edit]

TA:REK, born Tarek Marzok was raised in Brussels, Belgium. He completed his education at the University of Brussels. During the early stages of his career, he primarily focused on real estate investment before transitioning into producing his own music.^[1]

TA:REK’s music offers a captivating and emotionally charged experience characterized by its soft, soothing, and melodic nature. While his focus is electronic music, including techno, afro, indie, and melodic genres, he demonstrates a versatile knowledge and willingness to experiment with contrasting styles. Influenced by notable artists like Stephan Bodzin, Solomun, Tale of Us, Carl Cox, and Joris Voorn, TA:REK appreciates a range of genres, including classical, hip-hop, rock, house, and techno.^[2]
