Katghara is a small village of 74 hectares in Fatehpur Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Katghara depends on Fatehpur (NP) , the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesOne canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Katghara's pin code is 225305[4], and village code is 05708800. The area of Katghara is segregated as 26 hectares irrigated area, 3 hectares unirrigated area. the 23 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 1 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Katghara has Eight public telephones. Katghara has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Katghara is a census village in the district of Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1105 and has total administration over 184 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 284 (25.70%) males constitute 151 (13.67%) of the population and females 133 (12.04%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Fatehpur (NP) and Barabanki to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
