CO Architects is an architecture and design firm headquartered in Los Angeles. It was named Engineering News-Record California’s 2019 California Design Firm of the Year[1] and American Institute of Architects (AIA) California Council’s 2014 Firm of the Year.[2] CO Architects was founded as the Los Angeles regional office of Anshen & Allen. The firm became CO Architects in 2005.[3]
CO Architects has been recognized for its use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in building design.[4] In medical education, the firm employs Virtual reality|Virtual Reality (VR) for operating-room simulation.[5] CO Architects' healthcare designs utilize evidence-based design (EBD).[6] Its university laboratory projects include collaborations with professors at California Institute of Technology|Caltech and University of Arizona.[7]
