Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade

The Trans-Atlantic slave trade formed a triangle between Europe, Africa, and colonies in Brazil, the Caribbean, and New England which were then owned by Portugal, Britain, and France. In the Caribbean, most slaves were brought to either Jamaica or Haiti.

It started with finished goods from Europe to trade with kingdoms like the Ashanti for slaves from Africa, slaves would go to plantations in the new world for sugar cane and other raw materials, finally from plantations in the New World back to Europe.
