Pro-abortion movies have occasionally been made by Hollywood, dating back to at least 1963. Each time it relies on deceit or is not meant to be taken seriously, or does not really portray abortion in any positive light.
Here is a growing list:
- Love with the Proper Stranger (1963), whose lead actors Steve McQueen and Natalie Wood would later die prematurely, includes a grim abortion scene and an unrealistic continuation of their relationship afterwards.[1] In real life abortion nearly always ends the relationship, in addition to ending the unborn life.
- on the last day of filming, Natalie Wood and Warren Beatty ended their two-year relationship in real life.[2]
- Detective Story (1951) - also listed as a pro-life movie as its message is not straightforward
- Fast Times at Ridgemont High
