Official Lists Of Candidates In Statewide Elections
From Ballotpedia Prior to an election, states are required to release official lists of candidates who will appear on the general election ballot. Some states placed sample ballots online broken down by district. Others published full candidate lists in a single document. This page aggregate the official lists from 2012 and 2014.
2012[edit]
- State executive officials: There were 94 state executive seats up for election in 22 states.
- Congress: There were 435 U.S. House seats and 33 U.S. Senate seats up for election.
- State legislatures: There were 6,015 state legislative seats up for election on November 6, 2012. There were 43 states holding elections. Alabama, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, New Jersey, and Virginia did not hold elections at the state legislative level in 2012.
