Alice Josephine Tye Noel was the wife of Mississippi governor E. F. Noel who was her second husband. Her first husband died. She featured in society page newspaper reports, was active in the Daughters of the American Revolution (D. A. R.), and engaged in social functions with her husband.[1] She gave a speech on Woman’s Day at a fair.[2][1]

Alice Josephine Tye was born in Mississippi.[3] She married Halbert Hale Neilson with whom she had two sons. Neilson died.

September 12, 1905 she married Noel.[4][5]

She spoke on behalf of the D.A.R. in Mississippi during the World War I era.[6]
