Sergeant

A Sergeant (abbreviated as Sgt) is a military rank used in different armed forces throughout the world.

In the United States Army, a Sergeant is a non-commissioned officer with a rank of E-5. ranked just above Specialist/Corporal. They are referred to as "Sergeant (last name)" and have a base pay of $27,338.40 per year.[1]
