The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) is the ninth film of the James Bond film series and the second to star Roger Moore as fictional British secret agent James Bond. It is a loose adaptation of Ian Fleming's thirteenth James Bond novel. It is significant for the being the last Bond film to be produced by Harry Saltzman, co-producer of all the previous films. Saltzman left the series in the interval between The Man with the Golden Gun and The Spy Who Loved Me.
