1. the notion of improving or moving forward in advancement.

2. the journey made from location to location while on a vacation.

3. the iterative, piecemeal steps that progressives make in order to make a full and complete governmental organization.

Verb

1. moving forward in physical action.

2. improving or advancing or upgrading.

3. growing government just slightly bigger this time, then a little bigger next time, until the next goal has been reached in what is usually a never-ending cycle of governmental growth at the expense of the people.

1. The hiker made progress up the mountain.

2. The computer was made progressively faster by upgrading hardware components.

3. The progressive ideologue wanted to move from A to Z unnoticed, so they moved from A to B, then C, and so forth until they reached the Z that they originally desired.
