The Washington Examiner is a daily digital news source and weekly print magazine. It is based in Washington, D.C.[1][2]

Circulation[edit]

When it was a daily publication, the Washington Examiner had a daily circulation of 260,950 copies. The publication switched to a weekly circulation in 2013. [3][1]

History[edit]

The Washington Examiner was founded in 2005 as a free-of-charge conservative tabloid in Washington D.C. In June 2013, the paper switched from its daily print circulation to a weekly printed magazine along with a digital platform with daily news. The company announced that it intended to be "a digital platform and weekly print magazine focused on political thought leadership." The publication is owned by Clarity Media Group and published by its subsidiary, MediaDC. Clarity Media Group is owned by Philip Anschutz.[3][4][1][2]
