Ground

From Conservapedia

Ground is the surface of the Earth. It is soil, a mixture of sand and organic material present on the surface.

In electronics, 'ground' refers to the zero-volt potential, relative to which all others are measured.

Ground is also the past participle of 'grind'. As Alice remarks in Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking Glass, flour is ground.
