Troy King

Troy Robin King (born August 22, 1968) is the former attorney general of the state of Alabama and a member of the Republican Party. A champion of law enforcement, he has achieved passage of laws that increased punishments for sex offenders, tougher child pornography laws and legislation that restricted abortion.

King was defeated for renomination in 2010 by Luther Strange, a Birmingham attorney who then won the position in the general election.
